Merchant of Venice (The)

I recommend this book for two reasons, first because it focuses on the different and sometimes complicated relationship between the various religions and cultures in Venice in the 16^th century, second because it is a criticism of the role of money in our life, as shown by Shylock.

I thought it was a difficult book to read, but then I realized it was even too simple. I’ve understood almost everything but sometimes it was a little too predictable.
