I recommend this book for two reasons, first because it focuses on the different and sometimes complicated relationship between the various religions and cultures in Venice in the 16th century, second because it is a criticism of the role of money in our life, as shown by Shylock.

I thought it was a difficult book to read, but then I realized it was even too simple. I’ve understood almost everything but sometimes it was a little too predictable.
