Recently, I read this book and I liked it. The sentences are long, but not too difficult and you can understand how people felt in New York’s society in the 1870s. I recommend this book to people who like reading stories about love, social constraints and duty.

The book is about a noble family in New York. The story is a little bit boring and the plot is a little complicated because of the many characters, but, all in all, it’s a sweet story that focuses on a love-story between Newland Archer and Elen Olenska. It also deals with the problem of the close mentality of the high bourgeoisie. I suggest this book to romantic girls.
